The last two years have drastically diminished the amount of business travel most of us do. Trip expenditures for the fourth quarter of 2021 are projected to be between 25% to 35% below 2019 levels, according to one estimate. Yet, as the pandemic slowly winds down, the first conferences and face-to-face meetings are making their way back onto our calendars.
With that comes the requirement for IT departments to find new ways to support team members who are on the road again. Although many admins see little difference between working from home and logging in on the road, each scenario has its challenges and security implications that administrators need to address.
