The board of directors is often shrouded in mystery. Some business leaders in suits come together to fire the CEO or set the company on the right course. Yet, most often, the time on the board is rather mundane. Strategy reviews and risk analysis dominate the infrequent meetings, and jet-packed action happens infrequently.
Yet, during my time as a board member, there were a lot of issues I wished would have gone differently. Thus, I had the immense pleasure of talking to Doug Noll for an interview about my experience on corporate boards and the five things we are getting wrong.
